Dit is The Cathedral, een beroemd natuurlijke rotsformatie in Peru. Helaas moeten we nu zeggen: dit was The Cathedral. Naast de honderden slachtoffers door de aardbeving is Peru nu ook een belangrijke toeristische trekpleister kwijt :( De foto komt trouwens van onze reis door Peru in 2001.

A skyscraper that rotates

In skyscraper-crazy Dubai, tall isn’t enough. Now there are plans for a 68-story tower where the floors would rotate 360 degrees. Each floor would rotate independently, creating a constantly changing architectural form.

Holland Considers Banning DRM, Legalizing Filesharing

Dutch politicians suggested that it might be a good idea to tax Internet traffic, and use this money to compensate the music industry. This, under the condition that DRM is abandoned, and people can’t be charged for downloads.

My guess is this would be the end of mp3 shops like iTunes in the Netherlands.
PS: downloading is actually already legal in Holland, uploading isn’t though.

Even with a thousand words, how do you describe the look in a Mother’s eye who does not know how she will feed her children, or the look on the face of a paratrooper minutes before the D-day invasion. R.I.P. Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin

It is understood he was killed by a sting-ray barb that went through his chest.
He was swimming off the Low Isles at Port Douglas filming an underwater documentary and that’s when it occurred. We will miss him!
